Today was a bit cloudy but no wind or rain made it perfect for a breeze for the horses it wouldn't get to hot for both horse or jockey. Carlos had been the first one up and wanted to start the day with a healthy breakfast and a vast workout of his own. He attended to the trainers and got in their good word for the workout and then he headed towards the barns to a bunch of heads popping out of the stalls before he headed towards the flag shaped stripe and blaze of Noadiance feeding him a small carrot to greet the stallion. Carlos had snapped the lead onto his halter and opened up the gate to let him walk off his massive size. Noadiance was a very kind stallion with no aggression in his form he did tend to flirt on occasion which was proven to be his sire's trait. "Hello Noah, just a little walk to ease those long legs of yours eh." Carlos said patting the stallions neck who kept his ears raised and his stance steady.
Carlos placed the saddle on Noah's back and placed himself steadily on the back of Noah. Terri walked passed them with a bright smile and simply gave an adoring look to Noah and remembered him as a young foal trying to catch his ground. Terri was on her way to take out another promising monster colt she knew as Striker but the tracks knew him as Tuff E' Nuff. Striker was very well known around the track even as a juvenile he has done pretty well for himself. Striker glowed in the presence of his jockey and stomped the ground beneath him. "Calm down there Striker don't want to hurt yourself you big lug." Terri said getting Striker prepared for his morning walk. Terri walked Tuff E' Nuff out of the barn and up to Noadiance with his ears pinned down slightly standing easy. The juvenile colt stood the same height as his darling nephew the two acknowledged each other and didn't even bother with the thought.
Terri smiled towards Carlos who seemed annoyed but friendly, "out of all the others that need walking you choose our juvenile star? Terri come on this is a walk not a showing expedition." Terri could only laugh at his words with a friendly manner. The two colts walked with their demands Noah ahead with his tail raised towards his excitement. She shrugged her shoulders and smiled, "Don't be serious Carlos I haven't taken Striker on a peaceful walk in awhile and he is always running in a massive circle its about time he gets to be a horse once in awhile." Terri said as she soon trotted the colt ahead who seemed content to push forward.
Carlos held the reins in his hands as he walked Noah in a faster pace who flicked his tail and decided to go against the walk and trot after his uncle with a confident stare towards the other. The two then seemed to be a few miles away from the stables into the trails behind the stables and decided to breeze them for a half mile up. The competition Noah gained was fierce and it was something Carlos had been waiting for the determination Tuff E' Nuff gave with each race proved him to be a worthy colt. Striker was a closer on the tracks but with Noah of his same style the pace would be on and off.
When they reached the half mile they slowed them down and both Carlos and Terri enjoyed their time out of the stables and felt good. "Well that was a good run luckily it is not raining." Terri said before both jockies returned to the barn and waited for the race day to arrive.
